Getting to “Bute Backpackers” couldn't be easier. Take train from Glasgow Central to Wemyss Bay, the Bute ferry sails from the station pier. The train runs hourly and takes 50 minutes, the ferry sails every 45 minutes and takes 35, so with a good connection we are only 90 minutes from Central Glasgow. Our Seafront Hotel is 400m from the Rothesay ferry terminal, less than a five minute walk. If you do require a taxi (taxi rank adjacent to port) it will cost you about £2.50.

On Arrival exit the ferry terminal to the islands  “only”  traffic lights and turn right and travel 300m to small button roundabout and continue a further  250m and Bute Backpackers hotel is situated on your left overlooking the promenade and Rothesay Bay
